Microsoft may add a new customization option in an upcoming Windows 11 update – one that could solve a feature that is irritating to a large number of users.

According to a Twitter user @PhantomOfEarth (opens in a new tab) and reported by MSPowerUser (opens in a new tab)Windows 11 Dev Insider build 25300 includes three strings that allow you to disable the date and time in the taskbar on the right side of the taskbar. These strings are “Hide the taskbar clock”, “Hide the time and date in the system tray”, and “Enable this to hide the time and date information in the corner of the taskbar”. Most likely the setting will be in the taskbar as there are other settings that configure it.
